May Bonus Clue’s Week 2

May Bonus Clue Week #2 saw participants performing random acts of kindness at Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt on 17th Avenue SW in Calgary. The task at hand was to hand out samples of frozen yogurt to people on the street. Rain or shine, our teams got the task done!

Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt is a self serve frozen yogurt shop offering over 80 frozen yogurt flavours and 100s of different toppings. Each location is independently owned and they are constantly creating new and unique tastes using their very own brand of cutting-edge machinery.

They offer Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan, Halal Certified, No Added Sugar, plus exclusive soy-based froyo options.

The frozen yogurt contains active probiotic cultures which helps to strengthen the immune system, improve the digestive tract, and lower blood pressure and cholesterol. Fun and delicious, Tutti Frutti has become the new healthy dessert option for many.

Special Thanks to Hopewell Residential

Culinary Race participants will be easy to identify on June 11 because they will be wearing blue lanyards donated by Hopewell Residential, one of Calgary’s best new home builders and community developers.  The Culinary Race would like to thank Hopewell for this generous donation.  Outside of the race, take some time to visit Hopewell’s homes and communities, such as Mahogany, Canada’s Community of the Year.  To learn more about Mahogany and other Hopewell communities find them online at

Meet Our Sponsors: Sage Plus Clinical Pharmacy

Many of us wish that we had a little more 1950’s small town in our lives. Not the lack of WiFi, mind you, but things like personal service and shopkeepers that remember your name. Unfortunately, living in a city as large as Calgary, it is hard to get personalized service.

Thankfully, if you know where to look, that personal touch is available. We’re excited that one such business decided to sponsor The Culinary Race this year.

Sage Plus Clinical Pharmacy is a non-traditional drug store located in Inglewood focusing on early detection, prevention and treatment through life style changes and holistic care.  They also carry a wide range of natural skin care products and Professional supplements.

Joyce Choi and Kendra Chan make it their goal to know each of their customers by name and make them feel like home. They even have doggy treats in case you bring your 4 legged friends with you to visit. Check out their website for a full listing of their many services (including travel immunization consultations) and follow them on social media through the accounts below:

Calgary Food Bank

We are pleased to announce the Culinary Race is working with the Calgary Food Bank and will be collecting food or cash donations on Saturday, June 11th at the Calgary Farmer’s Market and Italian Centre Shop Calgary.

The Calgary Food Bank was established in 1983 and is a charitable organization dedicated to gathering and distributing quality emergency food to those in need.

Eligible people may receive up to seven emergency hampers in a twelve month period with the first three through self referral and the last four through agency partners. This past year the Calgary Food Bank has assisted 141,270 Calgarians.

Fort McMurray Update: The Calgary Food Bank is providing emergency assistance to the food banks affected by the Fort McMurray Fire. You can find a list of much needed items on their website via this link Calgary Food Bank Fort McMurray

We will be putting together a bonus clue for registered participants that involves the Calgary Food Bank on the day of the Race. More details to come.
